While trauma is a feeling that people typically want to avoid in their lives, some of us love to self-sabotage and seek it out in films. Allowing us to experience trauma and other negative emotions in the comfort of our homes can actually be a cathartic and even therapeutic experience.


In our third episode of the Fox Den Film Club we each discuss a film that traumatized us. For those who are seeking a very unique sensation, these picks might just do the trick!


Jake selected Blue Valentine (2010, dir. Derek Cianfrance).


Mitch selected Noriko’s Dinner Table (2005, dir. Sion Sono). 


As always, it is not necessary to have seen either of these films prior to listening – but watching along with us could make it more fun! We try our best to avoid spoilers.
