Minds Matter Boston (MMB) is a college access and success non-profit. As volunteer leaders on MMB's Alumni Team, we invite Minds Matter mentors and former mentees to speak about the challenges first-gen/low-income (FLI) students face in college and beyond. We query our guests for their experiences navigating such challenges, and the success they have found in doing so. By creating space for having these discussions, we seek to normalize the FLI experience in higher education and build community.
