Imagine this: some friends are taking me to Seville, Spain for my birthday and because I am really low going through a divorce.
They both have biblical names, and while waiting to board our flight, we meet John.
We parted ways, but then fate brought us together for an insane 48 hours of laughter, commiseration and relating on all trying to be great fathers while being divorced and balancing so much else in life.
The meeting in Seville wasn't a one-off. John and I still support each other to this day, and when he came to visit, we took a walk in springtime rural Essex. In all that bloom, we recorded an episode about our experiences, trying to look for hope when faced with heavy life consequences.
