This episode is the last of the text of Mark, but a couple more episodes will follow for us to wrap up this study in the Gospel of Mark.</p><p><br></p><p>s1e58 Mark 16:1-8 The Resurrection of Jesus</p><p>Darin's Observations:</p><ul><li>Same women?</li><li>First day of the week - Sunday, we assume?</li><li>Was this the first time the women came back to the tomb?</li><li>What does 'alarmed' mean - negative connotation?</li><li>Were they alarmed thinking bad things were going on?</li><li>See the place - they had known, saw before</li><li>Going to Galilee again - point of emphasis to Mark, why? </li><li>They said nothing to anyone, it records, but we know they did... Afraid to tell what they had seen?</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Ty's Observations:</p><ul><li>How heavy was this stone?</li><li>Who was in the grave?</li><li>Did they not believe Jesus would do what He said he would do?</li><li>&nbsp;But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”</li><li>So they didn't tell Peter and the disciples? Why not?</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Meaning: (Darin) Jesus has risen; go and tell. (Ty) He did what He said he would do in Mark 8:31. Then He went home to Heaven, which is where our home is.</p><p><br></p><p>Application: </p><p>Inward: (Darin) Trembling but astonished! Amazed! (Ty) Be intentional about the things you do. Slow down; seek to follow the will of God as closely as you can because if you do, it will affect not just you but the entire world around you.</p><p><br></p><p>Outward:(Darin) Go and tell! (Ty) Listen to angels or the Holy Spirit when they tell you to do things; do it. Don't be afraid like the Marys; do what you're told to do. This world is not our home; Heaven is. It's time I act like it.</p><p><br></p><p>Upward: (Darin) The RESURRECTED JESUS and ALL it means! (Ty) God's grace is so unending that He would sacrifice His only son for the sin of all mankind and that Jesus could endure the torture that all of our sins causes.
