Did you know that when Richard Diamond, Private Detective saw a transition to television in 1957, production for the series was overseen by Dick Powell? Although Dick Powell starred as Richard Diamond in the original radio series, he decided against reprising the role for television (which was passed on to David Janssen), but still played a major role in the series efforts when his company, Four Star Television, took on the responsibility of producing the television series.
