Nine years later, she is a multi-platinum bijoutière based in London, and fans the world over are wearing a piece of poetry around their necks or in their ears. In this episode, Rosh, who spent her early childhood in Zambia and later studied French and Italian at Oxford, brings her 14th century Florentine muse to dinner. As you have probably already divined, it’s a hot ticket. Dante Alighieri was born in Florence in 1265 and exiled from his native city at the turn of the 14th century, never to return in his lifetime. This dinner party is a homecoming on the banks of the Arno, and all are welcome. Don your red cloak and join us.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Show Notes:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Rosh Mahtani <a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/roshmahtani/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">@roshmahtani</a></p><p>Alighieri Jewellery <a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/alighieri_jewellery/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">@alighieri_jewellery</a>, <a href=\"https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.alighieri.com%2F&amp;e=AT2fxJtjJPW6FATMPy-UrtTpFZpBQKwZtLR3pRQvi3SdUwgqECRmxpA7l261SeOdOJ9s7aHyEfvtCBRA8b-gsaZ7Jm_tsJ-E-9Ug\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">www.alighieri.com</a></p><p>Monica Ainley DLV<a href=\"https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=monica+ainley+dlv&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> @monicaainleyDLV</a></p><p>Emma Knight<a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/emmalknight/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> @emmalknight</a>&nbsp;</p><p>Email us at fanfarefanmail@gmail.com&nbsp;</p><p>Listen to our <a href=\"https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3bmnG7skF6VBRr3slpDELe?si=62f4f25ea85344a6\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dinner with Dante Playlist</a> on Spotify</p><p>We mention this article by Jill Lepore: “<a href=\"https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/04/03/the-data-delusion\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Data Delusion</a>,” from The New Yorker, March 27, 2023</p><p><a href=\"https://www.theitalianreve.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Italian Rêve</a> blog</p><p><a href=\"https://www.eataly.com/us_en/magazine/recipes/main-course-recipes/bistecca-fiorentina-steak\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Bistecca alla Fiorentina</a>, the Eataly version&nbsp;</p><p><a href=\"https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/simple-ribollita\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ribollita</a> (did Emma call it ribollata at one point?
