He is a founding member of the <a href=\"https://www.yarnwire.org\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Yarn/Wire</a> quartet, a piano/percussion group that commissions new work for this format, and he has performed at numerous venues and festivals around the US an Europe.&nbsp;Russell is currently the co-head of percussion at Purchase College in New York.
