The accepted definition of a master is “having or showing very great skill or proficiency”. In the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, to become a “master” takes years of dedication, time, and consistency. It’s a path that not many people dares to take and it’s considered as an honorable mission.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Once you become a black belt in Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu, it takes 31 years to receive a coral belt and the title of master. This achievement is extraordinary and few can ever achieve it as it needs commitment, a lifelong purpose, and one must make it a way of life.</p><p><br></p><p>In this episode of <strong>The Dream, The Date &amp; The Broken Bra</strong>, I am joined by Nelson Monteiro. Master Nelson is one of the original pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States, he trained many champions in Vale-Tudo, MMA, and sports Jiu-Jitsu, and helped form the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC), which evolve into the most prestigious grappling tournament in the world, the Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling Championships. Throughout this episode, Nelson shares his journey to what has led him to one of the most dedicated and most knowledgeable instructors teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu today.
