GTA VI is everywhere right now. The latest reveal happened on Netflix, and at this point it feels like the floodgates are completely open. New details and information seem to be coming out every single day, giving us even more to speculate about and talk about as we get closer to the game.
Sony has also announced a double State of Play for September 3. The first presentation will cover a broad range of PS5 games before immediately rolling into a second presentation focused specifically on games from Japan and Asia. We already know we’re getting an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but there are plenty of rumors surrounding what else could show up. Could we finally see more of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet? Could Marvel’s Wolverine make an appearance? We’ll have to wait and see.
And then there’s the $900 PS5 Pro — which is now sold out across the United States. PlayStation Direct reportedly ran out after other major retailers had already sold through their stock. The timing is pretty interesting considering the GTA VI hype is reaching another level. So the question is: are people actually suddenly buying PS5 Pros because they want the best possible GTA VI experience, or is this simply GTA VI causing another massive hardware buying frenzy? Either way, it’s a pretty interesting development for a console that has had a somewhat complicated reception.
