This week on Heavy Metal Tones, it's a double header featuring two titans of their art and their medium: Johan Längqvist of Candlemass and Troy Sanders of Mastodon!
From the crushing, doom-laden foundations of Candlemass to the progressive, boundary-pushing heaviness of Mastodon, this episode brings together two very different forces in heavy music.
Johan Längqvist is a distinctive voice in the legacy of doom metal, while Troy Sanders has helped drive Mastodon's evolution through sludge, progressive metal and beyond. Two artists, two unique perspectives, and two conversations with musicians who have carved out their own places in the history of heavy music.
We're getting beyond the riffs and records to hear from the people behind the music, exploring the artistry, the stories and the creative journeys that make these bands such enduring forces.
TWO TITANS. TWO CONVERSATIONS. ONE HELL OF A DOUBLE HEADER!
