We tend to talk more about archery elk hunting on this show, and while today's guest is no slouch with a bow, I know a lot of you want to hear more rifle hunting tips and tactics.
In this episode, I'm joined by Travis Schneider from Stuck N the Rut Outdoors. He covers some great information for both late seasons and prime rut. You may recognize Stuck N the Rut from YouTube where they have a ton of amazing videos, from elk hunting to Alaska and lots of predators there are tons and tons of content.
One of the biggest takeaways I had from talking to him was how to hunt different types of terrain as it relates to the time of year. Travis and I discuss how to find elk and how to understand habitat needs at various times, which is one of the more overlooked things by hunters. Travis also shares some tips for pounding the timber with a rifle that I don't think have ever been shared on the podcast.
