From our  sheltered thought silos, it's possible to forgo the difficult task of <a href=\"https://gorillaradioblog.blogspot.com/2019/04/resisting-appropriation-capitals-crime.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">thinking through problems</a>, choosing instead to <a href=\"https://gorillaradioblog.blogspot.com/search?q=morningstar&amp;max-results=20&amp;by-date=true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hurl abusive missives</a>, (and more substantive missiles) at one another.<br> </p><p>Despite this spreading plague of self-satisfied, diametric certitude,  there still exists a middle ground. It's shaky, dangerous territory few  would choose to make a stand on, but between the derision and scorn  suffered from both extremities, it's in the grey zone between our only  hope of collective salvation lay. </p><p><a href=\"http://www.credoeconomics.com/about-the-author-a-short-autobiography-by-brian-davey/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Davey</a>  is an economist who's spent most of his working life in the community  and voluntary sector in Nottingham, England, particularly in health  promotion, mental health and environmental fields. Brian recently posted at <a href=\"http://feasta.org/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FEASTA.org</a> the article, '<a href=\"http://www.feasta.org/2019/05/06/greta-thunberg-pr-and-the-climate-emergency/#comment-279709\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Greta Thunberg, PR and the “Climate Emergency</a>”', an attempt to find common ground in the current climate crisis debate.  <br> </p><p>Brian Davey in the first half.<br> </p><p>And; last week, officers of the US Secret Service Uniformed Division  assisted US Department of State Diplomatic Security Service Special  Agents in <a href=\"https://www.mintpressnews.com/police-raid-venezuelan-embassy-in-dc-arrest-last-remaining-members-of-embassy-protection-collective/258565/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">extracting from the Venezuelan embassy</a>  in Washington, four remaining protesters, barricaded inside. It was the  culmination of a six weeks-long stand-off, seeing noisome, and  sometimes violent, confrontation between pro-government and  counter-government supporters of Juan Guaido, the man recognized by the  United States and some of its allies as the legitimate representative of  democracy in that country. <br> </p><p><a href=\"https://www.mintpressnews.com/whos-behind-the-pro-guaido-crowd-besieging-venezuelan-embassy-in-dc/258533/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeb Sprague</a> is an educator, author, essayist and journalist whose articles can be found at the <a href=\"https://thegrayzone.com/2019/05/16/guaido-mob-venezuelan-embassy/#more-8691\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grayzone Project</a>, and <a href=\"https://www.thecanary.co/opinion/2019/05/01/washingtons-hybrid-war-on-venezuela-a-very-21st-century-attempt-at-regime-change/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Canary</a>,  among other places.
