This was one incredible album that really had never been attempted before. An artist doing a live album of basically deep cuts off of his first 4 albums you may have forgotten about after he became a superstar.
That's what Songs in the Attic is. Released on September 14, 1981 this album got his first song, \"She's Got a Way\" on people's radar. In many ways you can look at Taylor Swift's (Taylor's Version) albums as a similar plan - since she was unhappy with her manager as well - except that Billy did it 40 years earlier. The idea for this album is unprecedented and a real gutsy thing to do after being on top of the charts for three albums in a row.
