Dreams, dream state, what do we do in our dreams, astral travel

Alison ~ Thomas, what can you tell us about dreams and the dream state?

Thomas ~ Dreams are real. You have journeys. Your soul does not sleep. Your ego does. When you are asleep, your soul is connected to the Oneness and is aware of it. It is being taken places, experiencing and shown things. Information is being downloaded into you.

Alison ~ So, the dream sate is just as real as the waking state.

Thomas ~ It is. Yes. And if you look at it. You’re going to make a human life. The first thing you’re going to do is put a time limit on it, because that makes it easier to control for you. So, then you’re going to take this allotted time that you have designed for your human life. You’re going to take a third of that and make it useless. You’re going to be asleep. Nothing is happening. You’re not doing anything. Why would you do that? That dream state, that time is when you’re doing the most.

Alison ~ It makes sense. To me it’s one of those things…it’s like we don’t do anything. We just sleep. We’re just resting? I have that sense and you probably do to, which one is more real? Where I just was or where I’m waking up into.

Steve ~ Oh yeah. Definitely.

Thomas ~ And in your dream state, your soul has so much freedom because. Overall, your body’s not moving. It’s still. It’s at rest. You don’t have to focus on any of that. It’s taking care of itself. So, there is nothing for you to focus on. You are free to just open up and be.

Alison ~ How come we don’t remember for the most part, our dreams?

Thomas ~ It would be bad for ego to remember every place you’ve been and what you’ve done. Who you’ve been talking to. It would frighten ego, to the point where ego would not rest again. And so then, you would lose that chance to really be in a dream state.

Alison ~ You said like who we’ve been talking to. Sometimes I can wake up and it seemed, whoa, sometimes when I do remember, it seemed like I was really there, and it was a real conversation. There might be different aspects that were different than my waking reality aspect. But it seems so real. So, is that really happening?

Thomas ~ It is! It is really happening. Yes. For people who do remember their dreams. It’s really a very small part of them that they’re remembering. It may seem like a lot, where they had a big dream that just went on and on, but it’s a very small part of what happened. To remember everything would begin to make you non-human.

Steve ~ So, what do we do in our dreams?

Thomas ~ If you’re a Starseed, you can go to your home planet and visit. You can come…both of you…anyone can come into the Oneness and be with the guides and experience. You can meet with passed loved ones. Spend time with them. You can spend time with the Angels. There is no limit to where…you can take a vacation. You can go to planets and ride unicorns or fly with dragons. There’s no limit to what you can do. (laughter)

Alison ~ Can you place an order and say, I would like to fly with a dragon tonight?

Thomas ~ If in the process of going to sleep, you lay down and keep thinking that until you fall asleep, until your ego falls asleep. There’s a very good chance, that’s what you will experience. So, you can control your dreams.

Steve ~ And yet the dreams we tend to remember are more earthly things that we’re doing.

Thomas ~ Things that you can relate to, yes.

Steve ~ Like I have a lot of dreams about the different places I’ve worked. I’m working there again and somethings happening.

Thomas ~ Yeah. That’s keeping you tied into…that makes ego…if you came back and had all these dreams night after night of flying on dragons and riding unicorns and just being out there, every night. Ego would start to fear sleep. So, you need something ego can recognize to bring back with you.

Alison ~ You said a moment ago that we also get downloads. Can you talk about those?

Thomas ~ If you have…let’s make it simple. During the day, you’ve lost something and you’re trying to find it. You look and you look, and you can’t find it. In your dream state, you will find it and when you wake up, you’ll know. You will walk right to it. You’ll know exactly where it is. So, that information was given to you. If, during the day you’re expending a lot of energy trying to remember a past event or someone you knew and you’re having trouble with it. You can wake up the next day and have very clear memories of it. If, you’re trying to decide which way to go on something, a free will choice. You can wake up in the morning and have a certain or definite feeling of what you are going to do. And you know it’s right. You have no more doubts about it. They’ve vanished in the night, because you’ve been given information.

Steve ~ Do we talk with our guides during the night?

Thomas ~ You can. You do. A lot of times they’re with you.

Alison ~ We know that sleep is important, to dream.

Thomas ~ For the body, yes.

Alison ~ How much sleep is necessary for the average human?

Thomas ~ Not nearly as much as you think. Three or four hours would be sufficient.

Alison ~ I don’t think I would be a happy human on three or four hours. (laughter) I have some friends who can get by on four hours and they’re okay with that.

Thomas ~ But you’re focused on, you’re trained for eight hours. That’s what you’re used to.

Alison ~ I like eight hours.

Steve ~ I usually get nine.

Thomas ~ And that’s good.

Alison ~ We don’t have to have that much sleep. Three or four is sufficient.

Thomas ~ You know, the more sleep you have. The more chance you have to travel, be and experience. If you sleep twenty hours per day, you’re not getting much of a human experience but, you’re still having fun. (laughter)

Alison ~ What about a power nap, where people can fall asleep for a few minutes and feel energized?

Thomas ~ If that’s their intent, the guides will take them to places where the energy and vibration is much higher. So, when they come back, they have that energy and they’re ready.

Alison ~ That’s neat. So, sometimes here, in the office I’ve meditated just for a few moments. Then I realize, oh, I might have fallen asleep. There was a little blurp there in time. What’s that about? Is that a dream state?

Thomas ~ It is, ego stepped back far enough for you to be able to leave.

Alison ~ I didn’t remember it when I came back. It was a very short amount of time but, there was the benefit of feeling refreshed.

Thomas ~ Energy boost. And it comes from your soul, not from a can.

Alison ~ What happens when children have night terrors? So, they’re waking up in a dream state, not really awake yet. What’s happening there?

Thomas ~ What they’re experiencing there is the final separation from their guides. As they start to grow, and the veil starts to thicken for them, and they can’t see their guides. Then they go into a dream state and they do see their guides with them again, and they’re back there. But then they start moving back into wakefulness and they lose that connection. It’s terrifying for them. The separation is very terrifying for children.

Alison ~ How can parents help their children in a case like that? When that happens.

Thomas ~ Getting them something symbolic like a little Angel or something they can hold on to. When they have a night terror, the parent can hand that to them and say, they’re right here. They’re still with you and telling them that makes it more real for them. It helps them to bring that back across the veil.

Alison ~ That’s comforting.

Steve ~ I remember my son went through that, my youngest son. He would just be screaming in the middle of the night at the top of his lungs, and it terrified my wife and I. We’d get him back to bed and settled down and the next morning, he didn’t remember any of it.

Alison ~ Same with us. We had the same thing. He never remembered it and it went on for a very long time. It was years. It was a scary thing.

Steve ~ So, it just terrifies the parents, and the kids are fine?

Alison ~ Pretty much. (laughter)

Thomas ~ They don’t remember if they don’t need to.

Steve ~ It’s good that they don’t remember it.

Alison ~ Can we intentionally astral travel in our dreams and remember?

Thomas ~ To an extent, yes. If you set that as your intent when you’re going to sleep. You will be permitted to remember as much as possible. Some things you can not bring back with you. They just do not belong in human existence.

Alison ~ So, it almost doesn’t translate, to remember.

Thomas ~ Yes. But, if it’s your intent to travel and remember. You will be allowed to remember as much as you can.

Alison ~ Why do some people have that inclination to want to do that and maybe others don’t.

Thomas ~ It’s a matter of the ones who don’t. Ego refuses to accept even the possibility. The ones who are interested enough to try it. Their ego has backed off enough that it admits that maybe this is possible. It’s willing to try.

Steve ~ What about flying dreams?

Thomas ~ That’s because you are.

Steve ~ So, we’ve gone some place where it’s possible to fly.

Thomas ~ Pretty much any place but earth. (laughter) Yeah. That’s what you’re experiencing. It’s really happening.

Steve ~ It’s such an incredible feeling, when you wake up after a flying dream. It’s like I’ve done this wonderful thing!

Thomas ~ You’ve gotten outside your box. You’ve expanded your human boundaries.

Alison ~ That’s so neat. So, what about bad dreams? How do we understand having a bad dream? Being chased. Someone’s gonna kill you.

Thomas ~ Your ego is what makes it bad. Your ego has enough awareness of it, to be frightened by it. Something chasing you. If that’s happening in a dream state. It’s only because it has a message for you. Ego is not very good at interpreting these different things that happen. So, it’s fearful. Something is chasing me. I must run. I must hide. I must be in danger.

Alison ~ So, it’s our interpretation as we’re waking up from it. Sometimes, you wake up from a bad dream and you’re jolted out of your sleep.

Thomas ~ It seems to you that you’re jolted but, it’s ego. Ego, while you’re in a dream state. While you’re flying around and doing all this. Ego can start to awaken but, you’re not right there, right that minute. Instantly, ego is terrified. When you slip back into yourself. Whatever you’re carrying or dreaming about. Ego interprets that in a negative way.

Alison ~ So, it’s the ego lens.

Steve ~ Ego creates a negative story around it.

Thomas ~ Yes. Don’t go there again. Don’t do that again. It makes it unwelcome.

Alison ~ Is there anything else about dreams, it’s important for us to know?

Thomas ~ It’s a good practice for humans to write down your dreams, as much as you can remember because, they fade quickly over time. Then you can look back on that. When you look back on what you wrote. Maybe a week ago or a month ago. However long it’s been. You’ll think, huh, that’s the answer to the question I was just thinking of. It’s like you already know it. It's been given to you. Dreams can provide a lot of useful information that maybe you don’t remember at the time. When you look back on your dreams. You will look back and understand and see a lot more than you did at the time.

Alison ~ Sounds good! Thank you!

Steve ~ Thank you Thomas!

Thomas ~ You’re welcome!
","author_name":"Awaken to the Light"}
