This is a brief history of the beginnings and evolution of Yoga in America. From Vivekananda to Ram Dass, everywhere in between and beyond. There has been a very deep interest in eastern philosophy among westerners for quite some time. While the asanas (or, postures) of yoga have emerged as the dominant depiction of the ancient art of living, there is much more to be gained from it’s practice.
