This episode was actually recorded before the summer, but a little bout of isolation gave me the time to go back to the episode and I am SO glad I did, because Clare is wise, hilarious and completely unapologetic about expressing how she feels. We spoke about the myriad experiences that create a united womanhood, giving ourselves permission to be angry and the pleasure of sharing a love of reading, storytelling and books. All Clare's figures of influence share a fight to become educated in settings that are trying to keep them down, and I loved chatting about the joy found in resistance.

Here is a link to Clare's speech from Emilia that we talk about in the episode

Once again, the tunes throughout are by Ally and Helena Shilson, and all artwork is done by Sophie Kamlish.

Please review/share the episode if you enjoy it!!

CW: Mention of sexual assault.

","author_name":"Lucy Hicks Beach"}
