I made an appearance on the Sportsbar show on Talksport last night. As usual, I agreed to do it, so I could put it up here for you.
They pre-recorded it at around 9pm (and broadcast after midnight). It turned out to be a strange one, as they put me through without any introductions, so I had no idea who I was talking to , when it was obvious it wasn't Jason Cundy on the show, with Andy Goldstein, as it normally is.
It turned out it was ex-Arsenal player Perry Groves. I wish I knew at the time, as I would have made more of Villa's pre-season wins against Arsenal and Manchester United! (who Goldstein supports).
Anyway, bog standard questions - how are Villa doing this season? (We've hardly played!) What's the score going to be? Would you take 17th and a Cup win? Zzzz. Etc.
There was a bit of a cheeky ending by them, after I signed off. They were saying how unhappy I sounded... What did they mean? That was me happy! :)

Match Club
As we mentioned in the last Match Club session, we'll run a more casual session for the Bristol City cup game. We'll see how people are going for coverage & streams, then decide how to do it. Shall we say 6.30pm onwards?

JOINING MATCH CLUB
1. You have to get a Discord account, by downloading the Discord app to your phone or computer via discord.com (If you have a microphone at home, it might be worth setting up on your computer too).
The good thing about it though is you can take part via your phone, wherever you are!
2. if you're using a phone, to connect your Discord account to Patreon and automatically join Match Club, you have to log into Patreon via their website patreon.com/moms (their mobile app doesn't work for this yet).
3. Once there check out the 'My Membership' link on Patreon. You'll see a 'Discord Community' section. Just connect on the 'Connect to Discord' button and it should be plain sailing from there.
4. Player tier ($3) Patrons will have basic listen & text channel access only to Match Club. Manager tier ($5) and above all have speech capabilities to join in the discussions.
Once connected consult the Match Club Guide channel on Discord for more info on the features.
It's a big MOMS Patron benefit and in many respects adds another dimension to the podcast too, so worth your time joining in!
