I'm<br />\ntalking to you, Laura Hoggins, and she is sharing all about the power and the<br />\nmagic of weightlifting and why it's so amazing for us, particularly if we are<br />\nstruggling with anxiety and confidence.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nGymtimidation<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nAnd she gets into telling us about<br />\nhow to overcome gymtimidation, because this is a real thing guys, I've<br />\nexperienced it myself. A sense of walking into the gym not knowing what to do,<br />\nintimidating people everywhere how do we overcome that and start to feel<br />\nconfident enough to go into the weights rooms and try something new, and we<br />\ntalk all about that. We also get into what are the mental and physical benefits<br />\nof lifting weights, and some of these actually really surprised me, I wasn't<br />\nexpecting one or two of these. And as a way of hopefully motivating you to want<br />\nto give it a try.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nWe talked about getting back into<br />\nexercise after a break; this was just a personal thing that I'd experienced<br />\nrecently. It can be so difficult if you haven't worked out in a while to then<br />\nget going again. How do we overcome those barriers and struggles? And Laura<br />\ntells us exactly how to do that. And we also get into weightlifting for anxiety<br />\nand confidence specifically, and what is it about weightlifting particularly<br />\nthat can really change our perception of ourselves and our bodies, and how we<br />\nfeel about ourselves, and calm us down in a different way than other types of<br />\nexercise.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nSo I think you're going to love this<br />\nepisode.
