The work Lavinya is doing is key to changing the tide for the black British community. Black History is quite simply put British History, to ignore the importance of black people in British history is a grave injustice.

\n

Through my own work with my masters and the teaching I have done, I see the power that showing black children and even non-black children that our history is more than slaves and chains has a revolutionary effect on children. Our history is doomed to repeat itself if we don't confront the past. I was humbled by the fact I shared such a stage.

\n

I can't wait to work with The Black Curriculum in the future!

\n

Support @theblackcurriculum on Instagram

\n

and here is their website https://theblackcurriculum.com/
","author_name":"shaun daniel carl flores"}
