Drew McIvor grew up in a farming community in Northern Ireland, his Mum was a nurse so he and his brothers were taught to cook from an early age, and he has always had an awareness of the work that goes into producing good ingredients and the rich range of foods produced in Northern Ireland too.
He first studied at Loughry College , where his course included several placements in the food industry, before a degree in Food Marketing & Economics , then many years in the commercial food production businesses.
Drew has a real 'can do' attitude and always believes there is a great solution for everyone. His commercial skills are a real asset in his role with Invest Ni as a Business Development Manager . He shares some great insight about good people he has learned from, making a success of a food business, his respect and admiration for Northern Irish food and the people who produce it , and how that drives his work to help those businesses achieve all they want and to share these fantastic products well beyond the shores of Northern Ireland ,
