First, you’ll hear a special intro from me as I play a song for my new wife! After that, an 11/1/83 broadcast from KFOG-FM featuring a short-lived disc jockey named FRANK KNIFE. At this point, KFOG-FM was a New Wave station, but Frank clearly wasn’t happy with both the music he was being forced to play and also his life decisions.

Unbeknownst to Frank, this would be his last broadcast as KFOG-FM changed to a CLASSIC ROCK format mid-day. You’ll hear the whole thing go down and the first appearance of legendary DJ, JIM LUGGAGE!

Complete playlist of all the songs:

Vic Dana - “Danger”

Gleaming Spires - “Are You Ready For The Sex Girls?”

The Knack - “Baby Talks Dirty”

Oingo Boingo - “Little Girls”

Felony - “The Fanatic”

Pat Benatar - “Heartbreaker”

Suzanne Fellini - “Love on the Phone”

Pearl Harbor & The Explosions - “Shut up and Dance”

Bachman-Turner-Overdrive - “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”

Lynyrd Skynrd - “That Smell”

Steve Miller Band - “Take The Money and Run”

And remember, KFOG-FM will be broadcasting 24/7 as a STREAMING STATION in less than a week. It’s being loaded with stuff from my record collection and you if you’re a VIP Patron, you'll have full access. Expect it to be really going full-steam after the Election. Or at least by this time next weekend!,

Have a great week (if you can, I know it's a tense one) and enjoy listening to this little piece of radio history. I promise to distract you this week here on the Patreon if you want to escape the hellscape, but I really think Walter Mondale has this in the bag!!

","author_name":"Jake Fogelnest Exclusive Patreon Podcast!"}
