Tune into Chalkboard Chat during the month of July for “Mississippi Prison Education & Reentry”, 3-part episode series, as we discuss education and re-entry programs for incarcerated individuals.
On July 30th, we’ll have an in-depth chat with father and son duo, Dickie and Zach Scruggs, co-founders of 2nd Chance MS, a non-profit organization, helping to remove barriers that prevent adult students from obtaining a High School Equivalency and /or an Employable Workforce Certification. We'll also sit down with Melvin Anderson, CEO of Southern Dreams Prevention Services, an at-risk advocacy and community-based program that focuses on the well-being of juveniles and their families, in addition to Pearl Bailey, Director of Home Visiting and Training with Healthy Families Mississippi.
