This week's guest is David Spinks, founder, writer and all-round 'Community Guy'.


He founded CMX, the annual conference and community of over 20k+ community professionals, which was acquired by Bevy in 2019. After serving 3 years as VP of Community, he left the company in 2022 for a sabbatical. He's now working as a community strategy consultant, and runs a job board and talent collective to help companies hire qualified community professionals.


He's also the author of The Business of Belonging.


Ollie and David had a great chat, digging deep into work and life transitions and why he's been pulled back towards Community despite temporarily stepping away. They discussed:
