For our 5th birthday episode, True Hauntings is taking on one of the most famous haunted houses in the world: The Conjuring House in Harrisville, Rhode Island.
But before Hollywood, before Ed and Lorraine Warren, and before the farmhouse became a paranormal landmark, there were generations of real people who lived, worked and died in and around this property.
In Part 1, Renata digs into the history of the house and the families connected to it, separating documented events from the stories that have grown around them over time. Who actually lived there? Which deaths really happened on the property? Where did some of the darker legends begin? And what was life like in the farmhouse before the Perron family arrived?
Then we move into the Perron years, when Carolyn and Roger Perron and their five daughters began reporting strange and increasingly disturbing activity inside their new home. Unexplained sounds, objects moving, apparitions, unsettling encounters and the growing belief that something inside the farmhouse did not want them there.
This is the story before the films, before the fame and before The Conjuring House became a paranormal brand.
What happened inside that farmhouse, and how much of the legend we know today began with the people who actually lived there?
