It starts, as these things often do, with something small… something easy to dismiss.
A knock.
Not loud. Not dramatic. Just… there.
A quiet, deliberate tap that doesn’t belong to anyone in the room.
And here’s the uncomfortable part — in the Crawley house, that knock didn’t stop.
It turned into footsteps… objects shifting… doors opening when no one was near them. The kind of thing people love to roll their eyes at — until it happens in their own home and suddenly logic packs its bags and leaves.
Because this wasn’t one strange night or an overactive imagination after too much wine. This went on. Witnesses. Reports. People who were, frankly, not looking for attention.
And if you’re thinking, “Alright, so who was faking it?” — you’re not alone.
That’s exactly where most people start.
But the Crawley Poltergeist has a way of pulling you a little closer before you realise what you’re standing in.
Because once you strip away the exaggeration… once you look at what was actually documented…
You’re left with something that doesn’t sit comfortably in either camp — believer or sceptic.
And that’s where it gets interesting.
So in this episode… we’re not asking if something happened in that house.
We’re asking a much trickier question —
what on earth could have caused it?
…And whether we’d recognise it if it happened to us.
