In this final episode of the <em>Hundefreund</em> special, host Nadine talks with the film's assistant director and intimacy coordinator Carman Ho. </p><p><br></p><p>Carman Ho (any pronouns) is a Canadian filmmaker and photographer based in Berlin, Germany. In this episode, Carman tells Nadine about her past studies in the humanities and how it feeds her work in the storytelling world. She breaks down the timeline of shooting <em>Hundefreund</em> and they talk about what intimacy coordination is, how it functions on set, and why it’s necessary. Carman shares how they formed a way of working with exercises like body-mapping and practices from tai chi and chi gong. </p><p><br></p><p>Carman Ho is a filmmaker and photographer from Canada, based in Berlin, Germany. Previously, Carman has worked behind-the-scenes on many projects from shorts, to features, documentaries, music videos, and film festivals- as an assistant director, film operator, gaffer, videographer, editor, and production manager. She received a film degree from the Met Film School in Berlin and a humanities degree from York University in Toronto.
