The album cover is what they call a business-fish: \"the only kind of businessperson that'll be left if we continue business as usual\". Cognisance of the state of the world runs through the whole album, as Snake Eyes tackle capitalism, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, distractions and more with loud guitars and lyrics that elevate everyday observations to something that warrants noticing, even romanticising. And evidenced by the number of fans that have taken the time to praise their song 'slugs', something about it deeply connected with fans.

The band joined me on the show to talk album themes, their famously DIY spirit, their electrifying live shows, which we witnessed at Sneaky Dee's, about collaborations, filmmaking, Scott Pilgrim and more. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!

Cover: Snake Eyes at Sneaky Dee's, Toronto, 11 June 2026 by Nolan McBride.

Touch that dial and tune in live!
