NYC four-piece rock band Telescreens believe in the power of connection and serendipity. \"Every time I would write songs [at home], the lights would flicker in my room. It was the moment right before a song would happen, there was a moment of stillness... you can feel it before a song comes,\" songwriter, guitarist and frontman Jackson Hamm tells me. And so came the inspiration for the band's third studio album, 'Why The Lights Flicker', out 12 June 2026 on +1 Records.
In the city where you will find the people you need, when you need them, Telescreens tell all about the album and its goal of connecting with people, of their love for rock n roll, how they became the band they are today (hint: in taried and tested fashion, serendipity rears its head), rock n roll on the Subway and more.
Their latest single 'Otherside of Town' is out on 5 May, and the band will tour Canada again this fall.
