Toronto shoegaze 5 piece band Mad Iris bring together harsh, loud guitar noise, softer, intimate sounds, both screams and whispers, while evoking a certain hazy, nostalgic 90s image that brings to mind artists like Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine. They also have a unique sound through layering up 3 guitars, all adding something new. We caught up with the band at Wavelength Festival 2026, where they performed at St. Anne's Parish, for a quick chat and live session ahead of the release of their self-titled debut album.
