Strange things go on in my head. I may be thinking about supermarket conveyor belts, people who reverse into parking spaces and how planners know the optimal distance between streetlamps.
This week, however, we're back to the cancer story.
Tumourthy and Tumourlene need to come out, but first the bit of liver I'm keeping needs to grow. That means embolisation. A tiny procedure, I was told.
It took three attempts.
There are tiny veins, an overnight stay that wasn't supposed to happen, fentanyl, a nutritionist, some spectacular vomiting and a point at which Shrek becomes involved in the story far more than anybody would reasonably expect.
