Nick was less well prepared though for the tragic death of his son in 2006,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;speaks candidly about&nbsp;how&nbsp;this period of his life affected him both personally and professionally.</p><p><br></p><p>Nick has always had a strong sense of civic responsibility and the charity he set up in his son’s name has been responsible for regranting some £6m to help the most marginalised children across the world. He has also found the time to work with the Home Office on county lines and knife crime,&nbsp;as well&nbsp;investing in Chorus:&nbsp;a&nbsp;Police Intelligence Company that was involved in the search for the Ariana Grande bombing at the Manchester Arena.</p><p><br></p><p>In the little spare time&nbsp;that he has,&nbsp;Nick&nbsp;is a cricket&nbsp;aficianado&nbsp;and passionate supporter of Aston Villa&nbsp;football club.</p>","author_name":"Edward Alleyn"}
