It was the opportunity to meet Béatrice Vivien, a specialist of the subject. Béatrice accepted our invitation to share some of her many new discoveries about the castle and its estate. </p><p>Working at the Château de Maisons itself and questioning a whole aspect of its history that had remained in the shadows, she was led to defend her thesis, under the direction of Claude Mignot, in 2014, entitled: \"The residences and collections of a great lord: René de Longueil, president of Maisons (1597-1677)\".
