The central theme of this episode is how Samara has navigated living with ADHD and successfully carved out a career as a freelance cellist. She only had a diagnosis in her thirties so discusses the impact ADHD had on her life and music college education.


Samara is both candid and fascinating, talking about something that is rarely discussed in the music profession. Despite not wanting to be held up as a spokesperson on ADHD, she has excellent advice and insight into negotiating life with this diagnosis.
