It shows a pretty bleak Christmas for over a million migrants and asylum seekers waiting for their legal status to be approved.</p><p><br></p><p>The Food Foundation wants&nbsp;the<a href=\"https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=Healthy+Start+food+voucher+scheme&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> Healthy Start food voucher scheme</a> to be made&nbsp;permanent, and to actively promote access to it among families with <a href=\"https://www.nrpfnetwork.org.uk/information-and-resources/rights-and-entitlements/immigration-status-and-entitlements/who-has-no-recourse-to-public-funds\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">no recourse&nbsp;to&nbsp;public funds</a> (NRPF)</p><p><br></p><p>We want the&nbsp;Government to provide local authorities with the resources they need to&nbsp;ensure&nbsp;families with no recourse to public funds to get the support they need. And&nbsp;that&nbsp;includes accommodation with adequate kitchen and cooking facilities for&nbsp;asylum&nbsp;seekers.
