She had watched the movie a few years ago and discussed it on her blog, but I just recently watched it. We talked about the documentary and Operation Pipe Dreams – the sting operation that the federal government used to ensnare Tommy Chong. Monica and I discuss how the Feds targeted Tommy because he came to fame doing the Cheech and Chong stoner movies and “glamorized” cannabis use. The movie is a startling reminder that if the government wants to make an example of you they’ll spare no stolen resource in order to do so.
