Michael took a trip down to the New York Irish Whisky Festival recently where over 1,300 Irish whisky lovers packed into The View at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan.
The festival brought world-class whiskey experts to one spot to promote renowned brands as well as newer brands like Lost Irish and Roe & Co.
At the event, he spoke to Sean Muldoon, the co-organizer of the festival and the co-owner of the famed The Dead Rabbit bar - which has been awarded the title of the \"World's Best Bar.\"
They chat about how the Irish whisky festival came about and why it is such a booming industry while they also discuss the concept behind the Dead Rabbit.
Other topics include the movie The Gangs of New York, which prominently features the Dead Rabbit Irish gang and several books Sean has published via the bar.
