Why are we so afraid to admit that we are unable to change our hearts?\n- This was, and still is, one of the hardest things for me to come to grips with\n- Paul makes an astonishing confession: “I am unable to change my own heart”\n- There is nothing good in me \n- I do not want to admit that I cannot change my heart for a number of reasons:\n- I am afraid of my sin\n- I long for the ability to fix my own problems\n- It requires that I admit I’m powerless in the midst of my sin\n- It makes me look weak in front of others\n- It requires that I give control over to God, thus relinquishing control myself\n\n3. Why are we so afraid to admit what the actual solution for our sin is?\n- The hard truth is that there is nothing I can do in myself to change my heart and overcome sin\n- Who was it that saved me?\n- Who was it that gave me the Holy Spirit?\n- Who was it that adopted me?\n- Who is it that is making me holy?\n- The reason I do not want to admit what the solution truly is, is because it requires me to wait and be patient.","author_name":"Andrew McKinney"}
