Ray Harryhausen had a magical career bringing stop-motion life to films like the Sinbad trilogy, Mighty Joe Young, Clash Of The Titans, Hammer's One Million Years B.C. and the legendary Jason and the Argonauts.
Sure, the actors played their part but you were really paying to see such cinematic monsters like The Kraken, The Hydra, sword-wielding skeletons, Gwangi, Mighty Joe Young and, of course, the snake-haired Medusa.
