Parul experienced <a href=\"https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hair-loss/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Alopecia</a> through her life, and likens the resolution to this experience as <a href=\"https://www.apa.org/monitor/2016/11/growth-trauma#:~:text=Post%2Dtraumatic%20growth%20(PTG),often%20see%20positive%20growth%20afterward.\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Post-Traumatic Growth</a>. Parul spends time thinking about what it means to be perceived in South Asian societies and cultures when you're a woman who doesn't (and may not be able to) conform to societal norms.</p><p><br></p><p>Parul currently is running a project called \"<a href=\"https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/parul-bansal/ancestral-futures-ancient-ideas-to-build-our-future\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ancestral Futures: Ancient Ideas to build our futures</a>\" which holds a focus on collecting pre-colonial South Asian ideologies, culture and histories in hopes to share knowledge and offer different ways of being.
