There’s a name synonymous here in the capital city and possibly the entire state, with not only great food, but also St. Patrick’s Day… just say Malcolm White and both are covered. Malcolm White is a restaurateur, promoter, food enthusiast, author of numerous articles about food in Mississippi, creator of award-winning recipes in the Southern genre and host of MPB Think Radio’s Deep South Dining. He formerly served as director of the Mississippi Arts Commission until he retired in 2020. He’s also the former owner of Hal & Mal’s restaurant in downtown Jackson and founder of the annual Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade. He is here to tell his story, his life growing up in Mississippi, projects that he’s passionate about, and of course St. Patrick’s Day!
Marshall Ramsey, a nationally recognized, Emmy award winning editorial cartoonist, shares his cartoons and travels the state as Mississippi Today’s Editor-At-Large. He’s also host of a \"Now You're Talking\" on MPB Think Radio and \"Conversations\" on MPB TV, and is the author of several books. Marshall is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a 2019 recipient of the University of Tennessee Alumni Professional Achievement Award.
