This summer at McGill Delve, we’re going to the movies! Management experts from McGill University will join me to analyze popular films and share the lessons that lie within them. On the marquee today: The Devil Wears Prada (2006).
Are brutal management practices necessary in high-performance environments? Is it worth staying in a difficult environment for the sake of your career? What does a movie about fashion teach us about “serious” and “unserious” work?
Joining us to discuss the film is Sabine Dhir, assistant professor in strategy and organization at McGill University. She’s also the director of MDIIM – the donor-funded Institute that makes Delve possible.
