If you’re curious about board responsibilities, you might be curious about charities. The <a href=\"https://www.sos.ms.gov/charities\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">MS Secretary of State’s Charities Division</a> is responsible for the registration and regulation of all charitable organizations and fund-raisers who solicit contributions in Mississippi. There’s another round of <a href=\"https://www.sos.ms.gov/content/documents/elections/2025%20Website%20Calendar-%20Revised.pdf \" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">elections going on that you might need to know about</a>!</p><ul><li>July 7th is the Voter Registration Deadline to vote in the</li><li>Special Primary Election on August 5th, for the</li><li>General election on November 4, 2025.</li></ul><p>Who’s involved?</p><p><a href=\"https://legislature.ms.gov/legislators/house-district-map/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">House Districts</a> 16 and 22 – Chickasaw County;&nbsp;&nbsp;36, 39 and 41 - Clay County, the Aberdeen area, and Columbus.</p><p><a href=\"https://legislature.ms.gov/legislators/senate-district-map/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Districts </a>1 - Hernando, 2 - Southaven, 11 - Tunica, 19 - Olive Branch. Also districts 34 - part of Hattiesburg, 41 - Columbia, 42 – more of Hattiesburg, 44 - Purvis, and 45 – Camp Shelby.</p><p><br></p>","author_name":"MPB Think Radio"}
