He, like many before him, worked his way up through the karting ladder, later shining in German Formula 3 before a short stint with Eddie Jordan in Formula 1 before a gap and then back to F1 with Toyota, Virgin and Marussia before eventually making the switch to DTM where he’s remained loyal ever since.
