After much anticipation and even more speculation as to what sorts of mayhem it would provoke, Joker finally opened in theaters over the weekend. Much to the surprise of some, innocent moviegoers weren’t gunned down as they tried to enjoy a night at the movies. Another surprise is the fact that the film managed to break all sorts of box office records. (At the time of this writing, the movie has passed the $100 million mark in the U.S.)
Something that may not come as a surprise to many is that legendary filmmaker, Martin Scorsese isn’t a big fan of the superhero movie genre. Of course, people had things to say about that since people have something to say about everything these days.
