Maple Hope Foundation is presenting Love Knows No Death on August 29 at Alliance Française Vancouver, 6161 Cambie Street.
This multimedia performance is inspired by the true story of Ukrainian mother, teacher, and artist Hanna Kisilishyna, whose only son was killed in russia’s terrorist attack against Ukrainian Prisoners of War in Olenivka.
The production blends live theatre, documentary audio, photographs, video, and music.
The evening also features Resilience in Bloom, a photo exhibition honouring twenty Ukrainian women who lost loved ones in the defence of Mariupol and in Olenivka.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for the photo exhibition, and the live performance begins at 6.
Ticket proceeds support bereavement programs for mothers who have lost children to the war.
