He worked with the Democrats in the US Congress during President Barack Obama’s first term, was a senior advisor for Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and the author of <a href=\"https://www.allenandunwin.com/browse/book/Bruce-Wolpe-Trump's-Australia-9781761068096\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Trump’s Australia</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Mark Kenny</strong> is the Director of the ANU Australian Studies Institute.
