All’s quiet below deck. The gentle rocking of waves lapping the side of the hull, the rhythmic turning of gears as the machine man goes to work. It’s out there. Somewhere. Lightning illuminates the sky signalling the oncoming storm. A deep rumble coming from the horizon. All the while two men wait patiently in the bowls of the ship. Waiting. Listening. For the creature to knock.
