On this week's Geektown Radio podcast, Gray joins me to chat through our week in tv, film & gaming, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations!
We begin by reviewing the last 7 days in tv, film and gaming, which this week has a major focus on the launch of STAR on Disney+. We both have been working our way through series on the new platform, so we review ABC's smash hit drama 'Big Sky', and Hulu's animated show 'Solar Opposites' from some of the people behind 'Rick & Morty'. Gray has also been watching Pixar movie 'Soul', and we catch up on 'WandaVision' (warning, there are spoilers!) Additionally, I was given preview access to new Arrowverse show 'Superman & Lois', so I give my thoughts on the feature-length opening episode.
In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups. We also run through some of the new shows announces by US streaming service Paramount+, including the return of 'Criminal Minds' and 'Fraiser'. We chat about Edgar Wright possibly taking on Stephen King, and the return of beloved fruit-based UK superhero, Bananaman!
