The 911 operator picked up the phone to be met by a man's voice. He ominously commented that police could find a woman’s body in a parked car at a local motel. The officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Host Inn hotel, a large convention centre motel located around 3 miles from Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Harrisburg Interchange. They approached the red 1978 Plymouth Horizon hatchback and immediately observed that the trunk was partially open. As the officers got closer, they saw a pale arm hanging out of the vehicle.
