[15] Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother."b.2 Corinthians 2:6-7 "For such a one, this punishment by the majority is enough, [7] so you should rather turn to forgive and comfort him, or he may be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow."2 Corinthians 2:10-11 "Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, [11] so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs."

Tuesday 8/18/26Particular Baptist PedagogyAn Orthodox Catechism: Question 87In this question, Collins states dogmatically a minority 17th century opinion that the Lord’s Supper must be closed with a hymn. This view is, again, a minority view, and its placement in the catechism this way is somewhat unusual. Though today, singing after the completion of the Lord’s Supper is extremely common, the case that such singing is strictly required by scripture seems somewhat dubious.
